All 13 Unions Have Finalized Accords with Freight Railroads, Successfully Concluding Current Bargaining Round

Members of the American Train Dispatchers Association; the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen; the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes; the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen; the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers; the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; the National Conference of Firemen and Oilers; the Sheet Metal Workers International Association; the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers, AFL-CIO; the Transportation Communications International Union; the Brotherhood Railroad Carmen; the United Transportation Union (UTU); and the Yardmasters Department of UTU, which together represent all unionized freight rail workers, have approved a new national agreement with the nation’s major freight railroads.

IAM Ratifies Accord with Freight Railroads, Successfully Concluding Current Bargaining Round
Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) have approved a new agreement with the nation's major freight railroads. The ratification by IAM's nearly 7,000 members brings the current bargaining round to a close; the unions representing 145,000 freight rail workers all have reached voluntary agreements with the railroads.

Members of the United Transportation Union (UTU) have approved a new national agreement with the nation's major freight railroads, joining eleven other unions that had previously reached final agreements on new contracts.
